Profile
Infinity Flux is Chattanooga’s largest, locally owned spot for comics and collectibles of all sorts. This year, they are celebrating their 10th anniversary. The shop, which started as one small sliver in a five-suite plaza, has blossomed over the years. Infinity Flux has taken over the entire plaza, connected the suites, and created a massive mecca for collectors of comics, games, action figures, music and movie lovers, and anyone into the highlights of pop culture. Owners and life partners Jason Mink and Meagan Frey have committed to making a lasting, beautiful, and ever-growing local business.
“Our goal as business owners is to “wow” people when they walk through the doors. Everything from the layout, the products, and the decor have been carefully crafted to give people a magical experience. We live in Chattanooga, and we love our city and the people who shop here. We want every visitor to know and feel that every time they stop in!”, shared Meagan.
Infinity Flux has made a name for itself buying and selling high-quality collectibles throughout the years, and they also stock the latest new releases in comics, games, and RPGs. The shop carries rare comic books including the first appearances of popular characters. These books are quite literally pieces of history and include first appearances of major characters like Wolverine, Punisher, and Deadpool, and early appearances of the Flash, Batman, and more.
Recent additions to the shop include vinyl records, VHS and DVDs, and video games. Local artists Eddie Bridges and Dave Vogt recently installed a giant “tree” inside the shop, located in their fantasy and RPG room. The art piece serves as a gateway between two previously unconnected suites and includes lights, scents, and hidden imagery.
The sheer size of Infinity Flux, the careful curation of products, and its friendly service set them apart from other shops. The inviting atmosphere encourages shoppers to stay and enjoy the nostalgia and get that special attention and service from the staff who are experts in what they do. Their unique experience and enthusiasm cannot be replicated at a big box store. Several staff members are artists and associate Andy Duggan is even a comic book artist published by Marvel. These talented folks applied their gifts to enhance the vibe and created the incredible, colorful murals that line the shop walls.
If you love comics, games, and collectibles or know somebody who does, you’ve got to check out this fun, creative store.
